Small Engine Mechanic
We are always accepting applications for consideration and it is important that applicants have the following abilities:
A self-starter who is punctual, can work independently, with good communications skills and a positive attitude.
Good experience in repairing and servicing both 2-Cycle and 4-Cycle engines powering lawnmowers, grass trimmers, chain saws, leaf blowers and cutoff saws. The applicant should also be experienced in repair of zero-turn and out-front style commercial grass-cutting equipment up to 35HP. Preference will be given to applicants with experience on the Stihl and Walker brands. Good experience with electrical trouble-shooting is an asset.
Must be able to rapidly diagnose equipment problems; find appropriate repair parts utilizing in-house computer programs; accurately document parts required on work orders and efficiently execute the most practical repair in a timely manner.
Must be willing to learn new skills where applicable.
Heavy lifting / Assembly / Assistance in other areas of work may be required.
